Entry requirements
To complete your CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, there are no formal entry requirements required. Although, it is expected that learners will have a good grasp of mathematical and English skills.

CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting modules
The CIMA Certificate is made up of four mandatory subjects. To be awarded the Certificate in Business Accounting qualification (Cert BA), you must pass all four.

Final exams
At the end of each module for the CIMA Certificate, there is a two hour computer-based exam. You have to pass each of these exams to complete your CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and advance on to your Professional Operational qualification.
There are then two more levels for the CIMA CGMA Professional Qualification:
- CIMA Professional Management
- CIMA Professional Strategic
CIMA Certificate exams can be sat in any order, at any time of the year. At the end of each exam, you will receive a provisional pass/fail result - your official result will be confirmed on your MY CIMA account within 48 hours.
How long does it take to pass your CIMA Certificate?
Most learners require around 12 months to finish their qualification, but this depends on how many hours you can commit to your studies outside your prior commitments.

CIMA's Certificate in Business Accounting assessments are on demand objective tests which can be sat at any time throughout the year. You can sit these in any order but you must have completed all 4 assessments before you can move on to the Professional Qualification. The exams are 2 hours long and are computer based.
