Entry requirements
Before completing your ACA Advanced Level, you must pass your ACA Professional Level exams.
At this level, there are no credits for prior learning (CPL). For more information about CPL for the ACA Certificate and Professional Levels, head to the official ICAEW website.

Final examinations
At the Advanced Level, there are three exams. They emulate challenges qualified accountants face in a real-life setting and ask you to provide accurate, specific, and commercially sound advice.
Both the Corporate Reporting and Strategic Business Management exams are 3.5 hours long whereas the Case Study exam is 4 hours. The ACA Advanced Level pass rate is 50% no matter the exam. Plus, there isn’t a limit to the number of times you can take the exams at this level.
The ACA Advanced Level exam dates are in July and November, and you are able to sit your exams in any order. However, the Case Study exam has to be the final exam you sit and complete in your last year of training.
Test centres in India
Kaplan's online courses provide you with the flexibility to complete your ACA Advanced qualification from wherever you are in India. However, to sit your final exams you must travel to an ICAEW-approved test centre or take your exam via remote invigilation.
TThere are test centres for the Advanced Level available worldwide so Indian learners shouldn’t have to travel far. You should be able to discover your nearest test centre when you enter your location during the online application process for your ACA Advanced exam.
How long does it take to pass your ACA Advanced Level?
Most learners finish their ACA Advanced Level within 12 months. Of course, this can vary due to factors such as the way you choose to learn and how much time you can commit to your studies around your other commitments.
It's important to note that to achieve your certification, you also must complete a minimum of 450 practical work experience days.

The total cost of your ACA qualification includes a set of Kaplan's printed or online study materials, including a Kaplan workbook. This workbook covers the key areas of your ACA Advanced syllabus and is integrated with our online learning tools.
If you're attending our Live Online timetabled classes, you'll also receive eBooks of ICAEW's workbook and question bank. These are compulsory for every subject and feature all of the technical content that could be examined.

Recorded Online (September sitting - BPB and BPI only)
All the information you would get in a classroom or Live Online, but whenever is convenient for you. You’ll get recordings of June’s Live Online classes as well as the Integrated Workbook, marked mock exam and academic support.
Exams and sittings
Timings and working towards a sitting
At this level there are six exams and each one is 2.5 hours long, apart from Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) which is three hours. You can take them in any order. The pass mark is 55%, and there are four exam sittings in a year - March, June, September, December.
You may be eligible for credit for some exams, if you’ve studied a relevant qualification or degree. Find out more about credits for prior learning launch.
How long does it take to pass?
Most students complete this level within 12 months, however this can vary depending on the study method you choose. To complete the entire qualification you will also need to have a minimum of 450 practical work experience days, so don’t forget to fit them in around your study.

Mock exams
Mock exams mimic the real exams. They are taken during the Exam Preparation phase of the course and can be found on MyKaplan. They are marked by the Kaplan marking team, who will provide tailored feedback so you can focus on areas you found difficult or could improve.
