About ACA Certificate
Entry requirements
There are no formal academic requirements to complete your ACA Certificate. This makes the qualification a great stepping stone for developing your career in accounting and finance.
If you've studied AAT, or a relevant degree at university, you might be eligible for credit for some exams. You can find out more about exemptions for the ACA Certificate qualification on the official ICAEW website.
While you can study for your ACA Certificate online with Kaplan, you must travel to an ICAEW approved test centre to sit your exams. For learners in Malaysia, this will be Sunway College in Selangor.
ACA Certificate modules and course syllabus
As the first level of the full ACA Qualification, learners completing the ACA Certificate will gain a deeper understanding of accountancy and finance, and how it relates to a wider business scale.

ACA exams and assessments
Each of the six modules that make up the ACA Certificate has a mandatory, computer-based assessment that lasts for 90 minutes. The exam pass mark is 55%.
Once you complete all six of these module assessments, you will receive a certificate of achievement from ICAEW marking the full completion of your ACA Certificate qualification.
Certificate Level assessments can be attempted at any time of the year, subject to centre availability. This means you can study for your ACA Certificate around your current schedule and lifestyle.
How long does it take to pass your ACA Certificate?
Most learners complete this level within 12 months, however, this can vary depending on how much work you do for your course. After you complete your ACA Certificate, you can either use this certification as a standalone qualification or move on to your ACA Professional.

At this level there are six exams and they are 90 minutes each. You can take them in any order. They are computer based exams so you can take them whenever you are ready. The exam pass mark is 55%.

How much it costs to deliver your study materials and how long it takes depends on where in the world you live.

All other countries - 40EUR
